We had such a great time visiting Heidi and William, Madeline, Abigail and Sam this last week, during their Spring Break. (We visited the grand dogs as well - Dolce and Rooseveldt Graymander.) We just got home last night. Spring is just beginning to burst out, mainly in the ornamental pear trees that are all covered with white blossoms. The other trees still look bare, but you can see bumps where leaves will be popping out shortly. The grass is also beginning to turn green in some places, along with the weeds, and along the country roads there are purple wild flowers starting to come out. Lots of cows and horses were enjoying the new grass.
A little rundown of our time... we had a couple bowling events, went to see The Blind Side at the cheap theatre, went to church, helped judge a recycled materials construction contest at church, played golf/or ate lunch at beautiful Bridlewood Golf Course (and took a family picture). We visited our nephew and his wife, Chad and Amanda Cox, and met little Baby Boston Cox, went for ice cream and went to Cabela's. We read, cooked, played around, went shopping, took walks, talked till all hours and more, and just had a great time... that went by really fast!
Today David and I had a date at the beach and soaked up the sun and the beauty. Several groups of dolphins swam by as we watched. We took our bikes and strapped our chairs to our backs, riding almost 4 miles round trip, with the wind in our faces half the way, and had a lovely day! We're back home now...
