Vacation - Part Three, Flagstaff

We rented a big old house in old Flagstaff for our reunion. Erin and Jim drove down from Denver, GG and Chris drove over from Calabassas, CA, the De Harts were starting the homeward journey toward Denton, TX, from their California vacation, and we followed them down the mountain from Yosemite to all meet for 4 nights. It was a sweet time. For something like this to happen, everyone has to make a lot of effort, take a lot of time and money and really want it! Thanks, everyone! I was able to celebrate my birthday with my whole family!

Garrett and Grandma...

We took an evening to tell about how we came to know Christ. David mentioned that he didn't know about his Grandpa's salvation story and he wanted to be sure and pass his on to our family. Various ones shared and it was very special.

Sam (8), Anders (4) and Garrett (almost 3) played really well together! They all enjoyed having boy cousins to play with. Sam was very sensible and was a good and patient cousin to the younger ones.

Even with monsoon rains we had a very nice visit to the Grand Canyon. Here's the Colorado River running through the bottom of it.

Abigail and I shared our birthdays while we were together and Sam had the idea of making a centerpiece for the table with his battery operated Yosemite train.

Little Wyatt (9 mo.) is so cute! He's very active and can't wait to be older!

Birthday celebration...

Crazy race cars! David made a game where players got a point if the car stopped partially off the table. It wasn't very easy...

After leaving the house and before we all set out in different directions, we met for breakfast at McDonalds. It was hard to say good-bye to everyone, but was a nice way to meet one more time.

And a shot with Dad! We love you all!!

What a beautiful family and rich heritage. I think that's a great idea from David - to pass on his testimony to the next generations!
