Sitting around Erin's livingroom at our little birthday dinner, it was so fun to be together! Garrett was watching his big boy cousin Sam really closely, picking up tips on how to run around and throw pillows at Grandpa and all that fun stuff!
Garrett got to open presents and Madeline opened cards with stuff that dropped out... just what she wanted!
Garrett sure knew what to do with that cake! He just grabbed it and ate it, and he's usually so contemplative about what he eats! It was fun to watch.
On Friday night we had the pleasure of babysitting dear little bubba so Erin and Jim could go on a much needed date! We had fun doing the evening ritual, then he konked out beautifully! Erin heard a great saying at MOPS that was our little mantra; "you wake him, you take him!" Boy, we learned how to keep our clattering around to a minimum! Actually, Garrett is a very good sleeper, but there's no sense in making lots of noise...
On our way to the airport we all met one more time at the McDonald's for breakfast and had a nice time together. The week had rushed by, and was so worthwhile. We thank the Lord for our dear family! Each one is precious and we love them all! After getting home on Saturday we headed over to Calabasas to see Gretchen, Chris and Anders. David needed a haircut and we were anxious to see them too. We walked to a nearby park and had a very nice time together. And that wrapped up our much anticipated family week!
