It was a big weekend!

We've been helping Gretchen and Chris get moved from La Habra to Calabasas. We really just helped here and there, but we were really happy to be able to be there and do our bit! On Thursday my sister (Gretchen) and I helped pack up the last of the kitchen stuff and Anders' bedroom stuff. Then on Friday GG and I went over to the new apartment (50 miles) and painted 2 walls with pretty accent colors. Of course it really takes longer because it was also time for her and Chris to go over all the paperwork and get the keys, then have a walk-thru. We realized we didn't have the paint equipment so we headed to the nearest Do-It center to buy some. Then we ran out of paint so went to the nearest Home Depot (not all that near) and bought some. Plus some palm trees to screen their patio from passing neighbors. But it was a good day and I was really happy to be able to help! Mom had Anders all day Friday and over night, then we picked him up on Saturday around lunch time and had him overnight and took him back to them on Sunday evening. Boy, my arms are tired today! I'd forgotten how strong my arms were when we had little kids! But it was great to see how much progress they'd made on the place, without a little one under foot. So this explains the pictures...
