Before Erin and Jim left on the third of January we had a nice dinner party for Daddy, to celebrate his 86th. It was the easiest party ever... Mom bought and cooked a lasagna, I made a good salad, GG made homemade bread from a mix and Aunt G bought a Trader Joe's cheesecake. It was a very nice party!

A couple days after the Barnes' left for home, David and I went up to Los Osos to the Baywood Inn for two nights. We stopped for breakfast with GG and Chris at Bobby's in Woodland Hills, a really good "Greasy Spoon" that we would recommend. After a nice visit at the apartment and a haircut for David, we headed farther north and headed into Solvang for a visit to Olson's Bakery. Truly yummy Danish goodies, made with all the right ingredients. And their coffee is great, too. Further down you see scenes from inside the Cape Cod room at the Inn... a very nice place. Also Morro Rock off in the distance.
A very nice evening over at Mom and Dad's, seeing Marsh and Tuula Moyle was delightful.
We've had lots of rain recently and the other day I was supposed to go to Wells Fargo to meet David and do some work together. When I got there a police officer was motioning people away, but eventually I worked my way to the bank. Oops! Here's their parking lot and you can see how the water even went under the door of the bank. So instead, we went and got coffee, and tried again another day.
I gave a week of my vacation to Dad to format his magnum opus, "Amazed By Grace." I worked on it solidly for that week and have worked on it a lot this week too, and am pretty much done with the major work, so one of these days soon it can be sent off to the printer in India. I think you'll like it when it comes out.
Have a good week!

Hi Mom,
I love seeing all these photos! So many people I haven't seen for years! And how amazing about the flood in the parking lot. Are those cars actually up to the door with water?
Hi Heidi,
Yes, the cars were up to the doors! What's funny was that we didn't go to our appt. at Wells Fargo and went instead to Panera, and when we were done we drove by and the whole parking lot was clear. I guess someone had un-stuck a drain!
